I came across this photo of two root canals. The fills (white lines) should run down the tooth root…not out the side of it. You may also see the white line about 2 inches on the tooth to the right. This is a root canal file that has been broken off and left in the bone surrounding this tooth.
We know as dental professionals, 90% of the population do not like visiting the dentist. This is the reason we are determined to change the minds of our patients one visit at a time.
My reason for this post…..We referred a patient to our Endodontist (root canal specialist) for a root canal. I was then asked by his wife why did we refer to a practice that was not “in-network” with their dental insurance. Simple….Or first priority is the patient…We refer to the Endodontist based on that particular doctors expertise, and continued excellent reports of their five star customer service not based on who your insurance may or may not cover.
If you have been told you need some major dental treatment…do your research. It will benefit you in the long run.
