Dr. Friedman is thrilled to add Dr. Tina Beck to the mod squad dental team.
Dr. Beck is a periodontist specializing in the treatment of perodontal disease and dental implants. As a native San Diegan, she grew up in the unincorporated community of Rancho San Diego and is an alumnus of Valhalla High School in El Cajon. She graduated from University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in art history. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles and specialty training in Periodontics and Implantology at the University of Texas Health Science Center (Hook ’em Horns) at San Antonio while also earning a Masters’s degree in biomedical Sciences. As a resident, Dr. Beck was awarded the prestigious John F. Prichard Prize for Graduate Research for her research. A formal scientific discussion of her work was published December 2010 in the Journal of Periodontoloy.
Dr. Beck is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, California Society of Periodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Society.
